Why We Built This Site
Virginia separates court dockets from law-enforcement warrant information. A case may appear in a clerk's system while a current warrant question still belongs with County Police Warrants or the issuing court. Roanoke County's public PDF is dated and shows only selected fields, while OCIS is a case-information service rather than a complete warrant register. The courthouse clerks, Police Warrants office, Sheriff and jail, and magistrate also work from different locations. These pages collect the local contact routes and describe what each public source can and cannot establish, so readers can start with the right office.
What You Will Find Here
- Starting a check: the warrant lookup page distinguishes OCIS case information from the County Police list.
- County entries: outstanding warrants explains the dated PDF fields and the Police Warrants contact.
- Court process: bench warrant search routes missed dates to Circuit, GDC, or JDR as appropriate.
- Issuance and traffic: pages on arrest warrants and traffic warrants describe Virginia rules and local court roles.
- Town detail: the Vinton warrant search explains the Town Police contact and County-court route.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not a Virginia court, County Police or Sheriff's office, or state agency. These limits matter:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or warrant listing on this site is current right now
The issuing court and the County Police Warrants office can answer different parts of a status question. This site can point to them, but it cannot confirm a current warrant or recall.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results, and their data is not an official warrant check.
